The castle and its park are visited not only by locals, but over the years it had become a tourist attraction for Parisians who want to escape from the bustle of the big city.
The park stretches for more than 180 hectares and it's a tranquil place, where people come to take walks or enjoy a picnic, play games and ride their bikes.
Today, the castle is home to the Musée de l’Île-de-France. It contains one of the largest collections of the painters of the School of Paris, among which are four paintings signed by Maurice Boitel.
