North American architect, Frank O. Gehry is one of the most important and influential architects of the time. Designing buildings form innovative materials like steel, copper, zinc, titanium he creates unique forms and shapes. He is particularly attentive to the surrounding context, cultural and visual. For this reason, at street level the building is quite modest blending with the traditional surroundings. On the other hand, from the river side it is a spectacular monument.

The design of the building was possible due to state-of-the-art 3D computer program. Computer simulations of the building's structure made it possible to create shapes impossible to construct by architects of earlier times.
