Tayrona National Park, Colombia

General

Don't expect to see a typical tropical beach, with turquoise waters and white soft sand. The sea is wild, splashing into the enormous rocks creating huge waves. Everything about this place is wild, but it's totally worth it. You ain't seen anything like this before- fantastic beaches, amazing scenery.

21 miles from Santa Marta, from where you can take a cab or the bus to take you to the park.Be sure to get there before 5p.m., when the park's gate's are closing. Inside the park you can find bungalows for rent. Or you can sleep in a million star hotel, in a hammock, under the sky.

This park is living proof that Columbia still has nice places, untouched by civilization and the modern world. The perfect place to visit for the adventurous part of you!
