Sea Trek Reef Encounter is an underwater walking journey through our 300,000 gallon tropical reef. While wearing a state-of-the-art dive helmet that allows you to breathe freely, you'll feel right at home under the sea. As you explore our reef you'll discover unique experiences around every corner.

During your 20 minute journey, you'll encounter tropical fish, sting rays and a variety of unique sea creatures. Become truly immersed in our tropical reef as our divers feed schools of fish and majestic rays.

Inclusion

A 15 minute educational classroom presentation prior to entering the water. Personal photo opportunities.
Complimentary admission to all Miami Seaquarium shows and exhibits for the day. A wetsuit and towel are provided for use during the session.
Each Interaction session is unique, based upon the guests and marine animals.

Hours of operation

Program is available on Wednesday through Sunday at 12:45pm, 2:00pm, and 3:30pm. Park opens at 9:30am – 6:00pm

Policies

Guests should bring their own bathing suits. We also provide lockers and showers for our participants’ use. All guests must read and understand English or Spanish. (Please specify on reservation if Spanish is needed) Minimum age requirement is 10 yrs old for Reef Encounter program. Under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult or older sibling who also is participating. Participants 14- 17yrs must be accompanied by supervising adult. Eyeglasses are permitted, but no sunglasses (transition lenses are acceptable). Guests are not permitted to wear jewelry. SCUBA certification is not required. Upon arrival, please instruct your guest to proceed to Dolphin Harbor check-in window.
8 participants maximum per session. If guest is more than 15 minutes late they will not be able to swim. There is a $25 rescheduling fee prior to 7 days. Guest must provide own transportation to Miami Seaquarium.
