Upon our pick up from the hotel, we embark on the Islands ferry. While cruising on the Marmara Sea, we view the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, the towns of the Asian side of Istanbul and charming Kinali, Burgaz, Heybeli Islands on the way. We disembark at Buyukada, which is the largest of the islands chain and the most famous for its ornate Victorian summer cottages in lush vegetation. Since no private motor vehicles are allowed on the island, the quiet ambiance of a century ago is fully preserved today. Everyone walks or rides bicycles, or takes horse-drawn carriages known as the phaeton, which we will also use on our circular tour of Buyukada, passing elegant mansions, draped in brilliant purple bougainvillea by. Lunch will be at one of the many excellent traditional fish-restaurants on the waterfront, gazing across the water at the Asian shore of Istanbul. At the end we take the ferry back to Istanbul. After the tour transfer back to the hotel.
