Ziptrek Ecotours is an exhilarating zipline adventure situated high above Queenstown. You'll hang out in magnificent tree huts, breathe pristine mountain air and glide through the treetops on a series of ziplines with spectacular views. This tour is the perfect starter to your adventure experience in Queenstown. The Moa comprises four flying foxes (ziplines), starting and finishing at the top of the Skyline Gondola. Moa is designed to start low and slow and gradually build your confidence as it gets progressively longer, higher and faster. All ages love the interaction this guided aerial tour has to offer.

Come join us on our exhilarating Moa zipline (flying fox) adventure above spectacular Queenstown! Ride up the Skyline Gondola and then glide through the treetops on a series of four flying foxes. Your experienced Guides will deliver an interpretive tour as you "Zzziiiiiip" from tree to tree. Breath in some pristine mountain air as you venture on a carefully crafted journey that combines exhilaration, adventure, and ecological exploration.

Location Meeting point: Ziptrek Guest Services Tree-house (100 meters to the left of the Skyline Gondola upper terminal, at the edge of the tree line). Finishing point: Ziptrek Guest Services Tree-house (top of the Skyline Gondola upper terminal).

Participant restrictions

The minimum age to participate in a Ziptrek tour is 6 years of age. Children 6 – 14 years of age must be accompanied on tour by a parent or guardian (someone 15 years of age of older). There is a minimum weigh limit of 30kg (65 lbs). Guests under 30kg (65 lbs) may zip tandem with a guide. The maximum weight of a guest is 125kg (275 lbs).

Additional Information Tour includes some stair climbing and hiking. Be prepared for light physical exertion. Comfortable clothing and hiking boots or good athletic footwear is recommended. Participants should dress for the weather (it is a few degrees cooler up in the mountain than in town and in the shade of the tree canopy). Queenstown is an alpine environment, please bring extra layers. Long hair should be held back with a hair tie or an elastic band. Cameras are encouraged, providing they fit into a zippered pocket. Any loose items must be zipped into pockets prior to riding the zipline.
Bags, purses and backpacks are not allowed on the tour for safety reasons. Guests should leave these items behind when possible. (Moa tour only - limited storage provided for a few items up on the course, which can be returned at the end of the tour.)

Policies The Skyline Gondola ticket is additional and can be purchased at the Gondola base building. Guests should allow 40 minutes for gondoal ride to top of mountain. Closed toe shoes are required to participate on Ziptrek due to health and safety regulations. Ziptrek Ecotours operate in almost all weather conditions. Ziptrek Ecotours reserves the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather, foreseeable hazards, insufficient bookings, or events beyond our control. In these events, full refunds will be made or alternative dates offered.
