Lower Pigeon Float Trip Looking for a way to really relax and enjoy nature’s beauty? Do you have children who weigh less than 70 lbs.? If you answered yes to either, then we have just what you need. Check out the Lower Section of the Pigeon River! The Class I and II rapids and one Class III at the end of the trip, make this very casual and laid back section of the Pigeon River perfect for everyone 3 years old and up! Rafting in the Smokies will assist you, your family and friends down approximately six miles of relaxing waves and rippling mountain water. You’ll gaze at the beautiful Smoky Mountains surrounding as you casually float this section of the Pigeon River. If someone in your group needs a little more adventure, we can accommodate! Let us help you plan coinciding trips on the Upper and Lower Pigeon. The portion of the group rafting the Lower Pigeon Float Trip can be scheduled to coincide with the other portion of the group’s Upper Pigeon Trip.

It is conveniently located on our 10-acre Family Adventure Island right in the middle of the beautiful Big Pigeon River at the same location as our rafting and zipline adventures. Our high elements ropes challenge course currently consists of four skill levels designed to challenge you personally as well as encourage group cooperation. Each level becomes incrementally more difficult from the easiest Class I to the most intense Class IV.

Class I —Canopy Bridge, Free line Bridge, and Sky Hammock

Class II — Painters Planks, Multi Vines, and Balance Beam

Class III — Tension Traverse, Silver Surfer, and Wiggly Poles

Class IV — Space Loops, Monkey Rings, and River Serpents

Policies We recommend wearing shorts, t-shirt or a bathing suit, something you're comfortable getting wet on, tennis shoes, deck shoes or river sandals. No Crocs, flip fops or barefoot allowed. Failure to wear proper footwear will result in forfeiting your trip without a refund. Please bring a towel and change of dry clothes and shoes All guests must sign a liability waiver.

Additional information From Gatlinburg, TN: Go to traffic light #3 in Gatlinburg and take Highway 321 N. Follow 321 N all the way to 32 (approximately 15 miles). Take a left on 32 and go approximately 1 mile to the Foothills Parkway. Take the Foothills Parkway until you get to I-40. Take I-40 E and exit at the first exit #447, Hartford Rd. At the stop sign you will see our outpost across the street, From Knoxville, TN: Take I-40 E to exit #447. At the stop sign you will find us across the street, From Asheville/Maggie Valley, NC: Take I-40 W to second exit in TN, Exit #447. Exit and turn left. After going under the bridge you will find our outpost on the corner by the BP and the Been Trees.
