Highlights / General details

Discover the twin sides of Krakow’s historic Kazimierz neighborhood on a guided walking tour. Home to the Jewish community from the 14th-Century until the Holocaust, enjoy its vibrant cultural scene and explore its tragic past. This unique tour uncovers much of the hidden history of Kazimierz, the former Jewish district of Krakow that was the setting for much of Steven Spielberg's poignant and critically acclaimed movie, "Schindler's List."

The first phase of the 3-hour walking tour takes you through the charming central district of Krakow, rich in history and architecture. Today it serves as an artistic and cultural center, filled with lovely cafés and restaurants. Meet your expert guide at St. Adalbert Church on Main Market Square and stroll through enchanting streets that date back to the Middle Ages. You will then come face-to-face with the horrors of the Holocaust and learn how so many of its residents were forced into the concentration camps and how the district fell into ruin. Your tour of this remarkable district includes visits to many of the sites Steven Spielberg used in "Schindler's List," including Oskar Schindler's Factory, helping to bring its essential history back to life.
