Itinerary When you take a tour in Washington, DC, your first priority is usually to see the icons – the White House, monuments, the Capitol, and the Smithsonians. But once you’ve done that (perhaps with us on our Washington DC Unveiled tour), what do you say to getting out of the DC core and into the local neighborhoods? We love immersing our guests in local life, and that’s just what awaits you on this Washington, DC tour. Hop aboard our all-electric, six passenger vehicle and venture with us to out-of-the-way places like Eastern Market, the Waterfront areas, the Navy Yard and other spots where locals spend their time and tourists rarely visit. Along the way, you’ll catch some sites that helped develop Washington, DC into a global political centre, such as the Navy Yard, which built America’s first war ships and helped build Washington, DC into a thriving and economically vital area. Before Arlington National Cemetery, the Congressional Cemetery was America’s first National Cemetery, and we’ll see this icon as well along the way. Bites of local food and fun, unique finds are just a short ride away. Fun fact: buses and trolleys can't maneuver the streets that we can! This means we're going to take you down some fantastic routes that most travellers to DC don't get the chance to experience. Score! The beauty of this tour is that the eCruiser allows us to cover more ground than a traditional walking tour, so you can reach all of these fascinating places in a short period of time. Also, it’s environmentally green! If you’re looking to get off the beaten path in Washington, DC, then this is the tour for you. Come join us on this unique DC tour and explore parts of the city rarely seen by first-time visitors. The sights and experiences will last a lifetime - or at least until your next visit to Washington, DC!
