Our tour of Aromatics and Spices begins from your hotel in Stone Town. You will be collected by a Zanzibar Unique guide at 9:00am and transferred by private vehicle.

Zanzibar, also known as the ‘Island of Spices’ evokes a romantic past embalmed in the aroma of cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and lemon grass. The Aromatics and Spices discovery tour leads you through the making of essential oils in a locally run distillery factory. The company engages in the organic cultivation and processing of essential oils bearing crops for the production of Organic Essential Oils, spices and herbs. You will then continue to a local Spice Farm where you will embark on a soft walking track of greenery profusion in the countryside – seeing, smelling and tasting the variety of spices, herbs and mouthwatering tropical seasonal fruits including jackfruit, pineapple, green coconut and many others.

This tour includes an optional local lunch prepared by ingredients from the farm, cooked by locals and served in an authentic manner. Sitting under a tree or on a bench, enjoying an exotic meal served on a banana leaf – an experience you do not get every day.
