Angel Falls

General

It is located in the Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in Venezuela and was named after Jimmy Angel, the pilot who discovered it in 1937. The falls are situated in an isolated jungle region, so it's not easy to be reached. But still, this place is one of Venezuela's top tourist attractions. River trips to the base of the falls take place from June to December, but on a cloudy day, it is not guaranteed that the falls can be seen. Canaima camp, the starting point for the trip, can be reached by a flight from Caracas orCiudad Bolívar.

Angel Falls is not only the tallest waterfall in the world, but also the tallest single drop and one of the eight natural wonders of the world. The powerful force of nature will mesmerize you as you stay there and stare at this impressive phenomenon. Beneath the towering falls, there are some natural pools where you can cool down after a long hike. Let yourself float in this natural pool, far away from everything and you will realize that this is the place you've been longing for.
