Hotel description

It had to come to this, didn’t it? Ever since luxury hotels began to shrink, emphasizing the privacy and exclusivity that only a small hotel can offer, this day was coming: the dawn of the one-room hotel. And it’s only fitting that it would come to Paris, a city that’s almost comically short on hotel space, in the form of the singularly stylish One By the Five.

“One” is for the one solitary suite, and “Five” is for the Five Hotel, just across the road, which owns and operates the One. You’ll check in across the way, and you’ll depend on them for whatever services you require, but the One is the kind of suite where you can quite comfortably get by on your own. Space is plentiful, the bold and graphic interiors are nothing short of inspiring, and the technological underpinnings are state-of-the-art, from the dramatic lighting effects to the entertainment system and the fully loaded iPod. Perfect as a pied-à-terre for roaming the Latin Quarter, as an exceedingly private romantic getaway, or a bit of both — the suite contains not just a bedroom and a living room, but a dance floor as well.
