Raasay view

It is most famous for being the birthplace of the poet Sorley MacLean, an important figure in Scottish literature. It's a nice and lovely island to visit, there is a ferry from Skye and the trip takes about 15 minutes.

The main occupation of locals is in tourism, working for the ferry company and also fishing. The flora and fauna is very diverse, from Red Deer to European Rabbit, stoat and weasel, Red Broomrape, Dark Red Helleborine and orchids.
