Pauanui is a holiday resort town on the Coromandel Peninsula in the Waikato in the North Island of New Zealand. Significant attractions include the white sandy beach beside the Pacific Ocean, harbour and forest covered hills and a canal housing development.

Getting there

Drive or catch the Tairua/Pauanui ferry which operates every hour in summer. The Tairua Harbour is a safe harbour for yachts.
