Taipei 101 Nightshot

The 509 meters high and 101 stories building hold the record for the tallest building in the world for six years, from 2004 to 2010.

The construction of Taipei 101, also known as Taipei International Financial Center, started in 1999 and it was finished in 2004. The cost of the construction is somewhere around 1,7 billion USD. The building was designed to resist large earthquakes. The 800 tones damper on the top is capable to reduce the movements of a possible earthquake with 40%.

Maybe it lost the title of the worlds tallest building, but it has the worlds fastest elevators. They can get as fast as 63 km/hour.
