Wall of Pez Dispensers

General

Pez candy first appeared on the market in 1927 and it's the creation of Austrian Eduard Haas. In the beginning there was only one flavour, peppermint, and its purpose was to help people to quit smoking. In 1952 the cartoon character heads and the fruity flavours were introduced. Pez candy gained even more popularity when they started featuring in movies like "The Client", “E.T. The Extraterrestrial” and "Seinfeld".

With so many different head dispensers, it was only normal that they had their own museum. So in 1996, the Pez Momorabilia Museum was opened in Burlingame, California.
