Chocolate Hills

They are in the Philippine Tourism Authority's list of tourist destinations in the Philippines and have been declared the country's 3rd National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. They became the number one attraction in Philippines, long before the beautiful long, white beaches

Legend has it that the hills came into existence when two giants threw stones and sand at each other in a fight that lasted for days. When they were finally exhausted, they made friends and left the island, but left behind the mess they made. But this is just one of the legends.

If you would like to stay in the Chocolate Hills, you have very little choice. The only facility is the Government run Chocolate Hills resort. The Chocolate Hills Complex has a restaurant, hostel with swimming pool and an observation deck where one could view and even count the hills at the view deck 210 feet (64 m) above the ground.
