The Cape of Good Hope

This rocky headland on the Atlantic Coast in South Africa has an important significance to sailors and this is why most often it's referred to as "the Cape". There is a misconception that this is the southernmost tip of Africa, but in fact this is Cape Agulhas, about 150 kilometers (90 miles) southeast. This is where the Indian Ocean meets the Atlantic Ocean.

A top destination in South Africa, with a rich natural and cultural heritage, the Cape is a must see for all visitors to Cape Town. The amazing flora and fauna, the rugged cliffs, sandy beaches and spectacular beauty, so close to a metropolitan area, make this place unique and impressive.
