This rocky headland on the Atlantic Coast in South Africa has an important significance to sailors and this is why most often it's referred to as "the Cape". There is a misconception that this is the southernmost tip of Africa, but in fact this is Cape Agulhas , about 150 kilometers (90 miles) southeast. This is where the Indian Ocean meets the Atlantic Ocean.

A top destination in South Africa, with a rich natural and cultural heritage, the Cape is a must see for all visitors to Cape Town. The amazing flora and fauna, the rugged cliffs, sandy beaches and spectacular beauty, so close to a metropolitan area, make this place unique and impressive.
