Highlights / General details

Enjoy true Scottish whiskey or “usquebaugh” (Gaelic for “the water of life”) on a journey from Edinburgh. As we travel north over the Forth Road Bridge, take in views of one of the best bridges in the world, the Forth Bridge (rail.) After a photo stop, we will travel through Perth along the banks of the river Tay.

You will also find the remains of the original village that was demolished and moved to improve the gardens. From the David Douglas Pavilion, botanic areas and Perthshire´s only maze, there is plenty to see during our visit here.

After a driving through the scenic, highland countryside we will arrive at Glenturret Distillery. Started by William Gloag (the son of a cellar man at Scone Palace) this distillery is home to “the famous grouse,” the best-selling whiskey in Scotland!

This tour also includes a brand new interactive show. Between the traditional distillery tour and a whiskey tasting straight from the cask, you are sure to find your visit to Glenturret unforgettable.

On the way home we will take a leisurely route through Gleneagles, home to the world famous hotel and golf course. We will also pass by Dunfermline, burial place to many of the kings crowned at Scone.
