Chef Ferran Adria is hard to beat. elBulli was named the best restaurant in the world five times (2002, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009). It has a limited season. In 2010 will run from June 15 to December 20, and reservations are made during one day, usually in October. The restaurant serves 8,000 diners a season, but gets more than two million requests.

The restaurant gained its 3rd Michelin star in 1997 and since then won numerous prizes and awards. Ferran Adria is not just a cook, he is an artist and an inventor. He's unique techniques of cooking, such as deconstruction and food-foaming made him famous. Everything he cooks defies description: pistachios in the form of a sherbet lolly, calamari shaped like raviolis, liquid croquet, pina colada served on a spoon. This is more than eating, it's an experience.
