Figueres is perfect for a one day trip from Barcelona or Costa Brava, and should not be missed. The main attraction in the city is the museum of Salvador Dali, the second most visited museum in Spain. The name of the town means 'fig trees', and it was named this way from the fig trees that grew here in abundance.
