A privately owned museum, with two branches: one in Dedham, Massachusetts, and the other in Somerville. Its permanent collection includes 500 pieces of bad art, that wouldn't be displayed anywhere else.
After finding a painting in the trash ("Lucy in the Field with Flowers") and showing it to his friends, antique dealer Scott Wilson exhibited it in his own home. He and his friends started to collect more and more pieces of art, and held the first exhibition in the house basement. Soon the place became to small for their collection and for the large number of people who came to see it, so they moved it to the basement of the Dedham Community Theatre.
The second gallery opened in 2008 at the Somerville Theatre. There is no fee to enter the gallery, but you have to buy a theater ticket instead.
