The main attraction of Maho Beach is not the white powdery sand or the blue water, but the airplanes landing at the nearby Princess Juliana airport. No where else you'll see a plane passing so close over your head. The best time to see the airplanes is between 1:30pm - 5:00pm. Be careful when the planes are taking off, as the sandblast is quite strong and may blow your belongings.
