Highlights / General details

This unique expedition combines a number of not-to-be-missed local activities into a very full day! We start by exploring numerous wildlife viewing opportunities surrounding Grand Teton National Park and Bridger-Teton National Forest with an experienced Wildlife Expeditions biologist. Our biologists use their knowledge and skills to help locate elk, deer, moose, bighorn sheep, bison, coyotes and trumpeter swans for your viewing pleasure. For lunch, we visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art and its Rising Sage Café, which overlooks the 20,000-acre National Elk Refuge. After touring the Museum's galleries of fine paintings, sculptures and photography devoted to wildlife, we end the day with a horse drawn sleigh ride and journey amongst the 7000 -10,000 elk that typically winter on the Refuge.
