Plaza de Toros de Ronda

Its construction began in 1749, on Baratillo hill, replacing an older bullring previously located there. It is Seville's main attraction, and even though the younger generation regards bullfights with repugnance, this sport is very popular.

Feria de Abril is the most famous bullfight festival in the world, taking place in Seville, each year. The bullfight season starts from Easter Sunday, ending on the 12th of October, but Feria week is the last week in April.

Plaza de Toros can accommodate up tp 14,000 people. If you look closely, you'll notice that the arena is slightly higher in the center, giving the bullfighter an advantage: he can run downhill and hide behind the barricade.
