Coming from Puno (Peru), through the western part of the big lake, crossing the towns of Chucuito, its churches and ruins, then Juli, the main center of the Jesuit missions in the highlands with an amazing job in stone done in their churches. Pomata is next with an impressive reddish sandstone church, then Yunguyo (Peru) to enter Bolivia in Sasani, to finally reach Copacabana (3 hours).

Itinerary Day 1: Puno to Copacabana / Sampaya / Island of the Sun / Ecolodge La Estancia Private transportation from Puno to Copacabana (3-4 hours), a nice town in the shores of Lake Titicaca, continue to La Gruta, where the hike starts going up an Inca trail until the pass with an amazing view of the area. Continue to Sampaya, an old Indian village, with well preserved Andean architecture. Hike down to the bay and take a boat to the Island of the Sun, the sacred spot of the Incas, land near the Pilkokaina ruins and hike to overnight in Ecolodge La Estancia. (Includes: Lunch, Dinner)

Day 2: Boat to Chincana ruins / Challapampa / Challa / Ecolodge La Estancia DON'T MISS A GREAT SUNRISE! Take a boat north to the Chincana ruins and the Sacred Rock (1 hour), short hike to Challapampa (1 hour), then take a boat to Challa and visit a cultural museum. Hike uphill to the ecolodge. Afternoon free to enjoy the peace and beauty of this mystical place. (Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3: Yumani / Island of the Moon / Copacabana / Puno Hike through the village of Yumani in the Garden of the Incas, to see the water spring of the Eternal Youth. Then take a boat to the Island of the Moon (1 hour) and visit its Inak Uyu ruins. Continue to Copacabana (2 hours) and visit the famous Virgin Morena and its church, lunch and stroll through town. Private transportation to Puno (3 hours). (Includes: Breakfast, Lunch)
