Location Pick up at hotel lobby. Please be ready 15 minutes earlier at hotel’s lobby. We ask our clients to be ready with time, because your pick up will depend on the location of your hotel, so take the departure time as referential for 15 minutes more or less.

Itinerary This morning, your journey will begin with an unforgettable tour to one of the deepest canyons in the World, the Colca. The tour begins on the winding road that leaves the "White City" of Arequipa crossing the snow-capped Misti, Chachani and the Ampato volcanoes along the way. Later, you will pass through the villages of Torja, Chucura, Patapampa, with its colonial churches and Inca farming terraces (andenes). In the afternoon, you will visit the village of Chivay. Wonder through its streets looking at its traditional wool handicrafts shops or enjoy a relaxing thermo-medicinal bath at La Calera. Afterwards, you will return to your selected hotel and spend the night.

The next day we are starting off the day departing to the viewpoint “Cruz Del Cóndor”, the most strategic area to see the Colca Canyon and the flight of the Condors. Later, you will return to observe the pre-Inca tombs of Choquetico, approximately from 1200 BC, where you will find the famous Hanging Tombs. You will also make a stop in the Town of Yanque, visit its beautiful church and its characteristic cobbled stone streets among other attractions, after you will return for the town Maca and finally arrive to Chivay. At coordinated time you will return to Arequipa, arriving approximately at 17:00hrs. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your selected hotel.

This Colca Canyon tour can be modified into and Accessible Tour, upon request. Tours may be cancelled if the weather makes the tour dangerous. In this case, if we are unable to reschedule the tour, we will issue a full credit or refund.
