Hotel description

Foreigners expecting Venezuela to be a hotbed of radical sentiment will quickly find its hotels to be a conservative lot. The sole exception is the audaciously named The Hotel, a sleek modernist white tower that, fittingly enough, straddles the border between the financial district of El Rosal and the nightlife center of Las Mercedes.

Decked out in a contemporary minimal-chic style, The Hotel eschews the traditional stodgy corporate format and lays its claim as Caracas’s first boutique business hotel. You won’t find any of the beige and floral stalwarts of the old guard of traveler. It has the jet-set style down pat: chic, futuristic design accessorized with nods to the Far East, high-tech creature comforts, and with splashes of color and plentiful pop-culture references, a hefty dose of irreverence.

The modern traveler demands more than just a stylish and comfortable room. The Hotel features a 24-hour restaurant serving an international fusion cuisine, a well-equipped gym and full-service spa, and separate lounges for capturing both the daytime sun and the night sky: the rooftop Solarium comes complete with canopied beds for soaking in the rays, and the Lunarium serves cocktails by moonlight.

How to get there:

The Hotel is located in Caracas, a city with very unpredictable traffic. The closest airport is Caracas-Simón Bolívar International Airport of Maiquetia. On a busy day with traffic jams, it can take as much as 3 hours to drive to The Hotel although on a day without traffic the trip can be only 45 minutes.
