Montalcino is a quiet hill top village in Tuscany, Italy. It is known above all for its exquisite wine, Brunello.

Getting there

Montalcino is close to Siena.

You can enter the city through its orginal fortified wall.

Things to do

  • Brunello Wine Tour Adventure , , Impressive from a distance with its broken-toothed fortress on a high hill, Montalcino turns out to be surprisingly tiny when you get close. It has a few sights and churches but what we really go for is to sip the famous Brunello wine. Professional Tours made by expert and licensed drivers speaking English.

Sleep

  • Villa I Cappuccini , +39 340 6695917, +39 340 6695917, Montalcino, 3 km from the village, Was a 15th century Franciscan monastery, abandoned by the monastic community in the 18th century.
