Karlskrona has a naval base and is the largest city in Blekinge. The town centre lies 5 km south from the mainland on the island Trossö. The old shipyard, the naval base oldest constructions and the three churches located at Trossö is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Getting there

Trains from Copenhagen, Malmö, Kristianstad from the west and from Stockholm, Göteborg, Emmaboda from the north.

Airport Karlskrona-Ronneby approximately 30km from city centre.

Long distance buses from Stockholm and Malmö.

Ferries three times daily from Gdynia, Poland.

Traveling around

Large net of city and country buses. Boats to many islands within the archipelago.
