Chewing Gum Wall

People have been sticking gum on this wall since the early 1990s. It all started when people who were waiting in line to buy tickets or attend the theater began sticking their gum on the wall. At first they used the gum to stick coins, but in time the coins disappeared and the chewing gum remained. More and more people started placing their gum on the wall, until it became sort of a project. Today, people are more into arts and are writing messages or their names from gum and even creating small works of art.

It's disgustingly and it's awesome at the same time. It's the second most infected with germs attraction, after Blarney Stone in Ireland.

Visit, stick a piece of gum and become a little part of Seattle's history.
