r />The Mandeville Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel in London's fashionable, mainly residential area of Marylebone Village, located in central London. The Mandeville Hotel is located between two of London’s most famous historical large parks, Regents Park and Hyde Park, as well as near some of the world famous auction houses such as Sotheby’s and renowned Harley Street clinics.
With just shy of a hundred and fifty rooms, it would be pushing it to call the Mandeville a “boutique” hotel. But more than many high-end hotels, it’s got an aesthetic all its own. Call it a design hotel, but one for fashion designers, not architects and other monochrome types. These pleasant pastels are immediately distinctive, and a bit more welcoming than the standard beige and gray, though they’re swimming against the tide a bit when it comes to the London-bred taste for clubby, masculine spaces — the only thing masculine about the Mandeville is the first syllable of its name.
The bedrooms aren’t enormous, but they are exceedingly plush, with the kind of bathrooms you won’t mind spending time in, and the kind of bath products you’ll want to stow away for use at home. Ultimately it’s not quite the traditional luxury hotel, where you’ll hole yourself up to hide away from the paparazzi or something like that — but it’s not really meant to be anyway. Here you’ll sleep in comfort before a day on the town, which chances are includes a stop at Selfridges. Just make sure to stop back in for tea — the Mandeville’s afternoon tea service is possibly its best-known feature, aside from the location.
