You could stress yourself out trying to keep track of all the many permutations of Evasons and Ana Mandaras and Six Senseses and whether they’re Hideaways or not. And you shouldn’t stress yourself out, it’s bad for that sixth sense, and entirely contrary to the point of all these places, including this particular one, the Evason Ana Mandara & Six Senses Spa at Nha Trang (to give it its full name, just once).
A dozen and a half thatched-roof villas, containing the resort’s 72 guest rooms, sit at the end of a long sandy beach, on the southern end of the town of Nha Trang — a short flight from Ho Chi Minh City, but once you’re there, seemingly a million miles from anywhere. The rooms are rather large, considering they’re several to a villa, and the bathrooms are downright palatial, with at least a full bath and shower in every one.
The better accommodations are right on the beach, with unbroken sea views, but all benefit from common spaces, most especially the Six Senses Spa, offering massages and treatments in pavilions on stilts, surrounded by coconut palms. Seafood on the beach, diving and sailing, access to the splendidly uncrowded town of Nha Trang — it’s hard to imagine needing much more.
