Strolling along incredible long stretch of powder-soft sand, curling into the Baltic Sea. Disappearing into mystical forests, keeping an eye out for the elk and deer which roam about. Exploring secluded bays by day and thronging bars by night. There are plenty of live gigs, and in summer the sun doesn’t set until 11pm. Turning up the tempo on a 4WD dune safari and cooling off with a swim in the spit's beautiful Blue Lagoon. Visiting Vilnius. Fairytale forests fringe the rolling powder-soft beaches of the Curonian Spit, making for an otherworldly experience. It’s no wonder it’s a World Heritage Site – with such a vast expanse of pristine sand you could think you were in the Sahara Desert if it weren’t for the beautiful blue lagoon and fragrant pine forests, home to wandering elk and deer. Palanga town teems with vibrant bars and bustling restaurants, the perfect spots to listen to live music while sipping a local beer as you watch the slow sun set over the Baltic sea. You’ll hole up at the effortlessly chic Hotel Palanga – an incredible glass fronted property set between the forest and the beach. It’s a stone’s throw from town making it the perfect launch pad for exploring secluded bays by day and the thronging bars by night… and with the long daylight hours, as if by magic, your holiday will seem much longer.
