At an altitude of 1450 meters, in Fassa Valley, Northern Italy, the village of Campitello di Fassa is surrounded by the imposing Sassolungo and the Col Rodella mountains. Due to its strategic position, the village has been widely referred to as an alpinist center and became very famous. Campitello was the first tourist and alpine resort in the Fassa Valley.
The village became very famous because of its privileged position. In the summer time, it's a perfect destination for hiking and trekking and in winter it offers various skiing possibilities. It is a very modern resort, with all the facilities one could need: ski lifts, snow covering system, four star hotels, but it still has a nice atmosphere.
A short distance from the Campitello cableway there is a modern and well-equipped sports center: climbing practice structure, a hokey rink, basketball and soccer field. There are also possibilities for gliding and paragliding. Campitello di Fassa offers a nice choice of restaurants and bars.
