Located in the French Southern Alps and aptly nicknamed ‘L’lle au Soliel’ (Island in the Sun), Alpe D’Huez is one of France’s most popular resorts for a . With a huge beginners’ area and and a ski school famous for its outstanding quality of teaching in a wide range of languages, Alpe D’Huez is a great place for children to learn to ski.

What also makes the place appealing for family ski holidays is the wide range of other activities available to enjoy beyond skiing. There is a great sports centre with a large outdoor pool and ice skating rink which are both free with a full area lift pass, and there is a lively après ski scene for Mum and Dad to enjoy.
