Valkenburg is a little town in the Netherlands built around a ruined castle. The Christmas market ‘Fluweelengrot’ takes place in the Velvet Cave, underneath the town. The Velvet Cave was created around the year 1050, and is situated under the castle's ruins.
Wander around the candle-lit labyrinth for gifts and decorations. Be sure to pay attention to the mural carvings and sculptures.
