Noma is located in Christianshavn neighbourhood, central Copenhagen, in an old warehouse. The name is a combination of the two Nordic words 'nordisk' and 'mad', meaning Nordic food. The restaurant reinvents and reinterprets Nordic cuisine. The chefs use ingredients from the Nordic regions, like halibut, wild salmon, cod and seaweed from Iceland, horse mussels, deep-sea crabs and langoustines from the Faeroe Islands, muskox, lamb and berries from Greenland. These ingredients are combined in inventive ways, creating unique meals.
Noma moved up seven places on the San Pelligrino list of best restaurants in the world, in just one year. It makes you wonder what's cooking in there.
Don't forget to make reservations in advance, a couple of months in advance. Enjoy your meal!
