Millau bridge is 19 meters taller than the Eiffel Tower and 37 meters shorter than the Empire State building, and it is the tallest vehicular bridge in the world. It was finished on 14 December 2004, and the cost for its construction were estimated somewhere around €400 million.

The bridge’s construction broke three world records:

  • the highest pylons in the world (244.96 meters)
  • the highest bridge tower in the world
  • the highest road bridge deck in Europe (270 meters)
