Situated at an altitude of 1488 meters (4882 feet), Lake Josephine is an ideal place if you want to relax and spend some quiet time.

The lake can't be reached by car, but this adds more charm to the place. Still, there are two ways to reach it, and they are both easy. You can hop aboard a boat and cross Swiftcurrent Lake and then take a 200 meters hike, or you can take a very easy 1,5 kilometers hike to its shore.

Hiking trails follow the lake on all sides, which makes it a very popular place among hikers, who are an usual sight.

As far as fishing goes, this lake is primarily a brook trout, but occasionally some salmon has been caught. Because the lake is surrounded by mountains, they provide a good protection against winds.
