The market is situated in the city center, around Mainkai, Paulsplatz and Römerberg. It is held annually from the end of November until Christmas and it has a multitude of stalls with hand made Christmas gifts, but it is worth going just for the festive atmosphere for a weekend.

Full of history and traditions, the Frankfurt Christmas Market is one of Germany’s oldest and most popular Christmas markets in Europe.

As soon as you catch your first glimpse of the Christmas Market in Frankfurt you will be amazed by its scenery and wooden stalls, the historical backdrop of the Römerberg market place, St Paul’s church and the gigantic Christmas tree.

Take a walk across the market and smell the wonderful aroma of baked apples, roasted nuts, gingerbread and mulled wine.
