Everglades National Park

( No user reviews )

An International Biosphere Reserve, a World Heritage Site, and a Wetland of International Importance - there are only three places in the world that appear on all three lists, and Everglades National Park is one of those places. More than one million visitors explore it every year.

The park was founded in 1947 and is home to many animal species, like the American crocodiles, Florida panthers and leatherback turtles. The park can be explored by airboat or, even better, by canoe, which will give you the chance to get really close with the creatures that live in the park.

Everglades National Park protects 800 species of mammals, birds, reptiles and fishes, including over 14 threatened species.
