The old town of Colmar is beautifully decorated like a fairy tale and each year the lights are turned on by a local celebrity.

Christmas chalets offer a choice of gingerbread biscuits, (known as bredele), toffee apples, mulled wine and many other treats. Among the ceramics for sale, look for Alsace earthenware from Soufflenheim and cake dishes from Marmoutier.

A large range of attractions help to make Christmas in Colmar truly unique, including concerts, storytelling, Santa's giant letterbox, and an illuminated ice skating rink in Place Rapp.
